We Open New Route from Bali to Gili Air

In May 2014, BlueWater Express adds 60 seat high speed boat and direct route to Gili Air.

Responding to increasing demands, Gili islands fastboat pioneer Bluewater Express is adding an additional 60 seat, 1,500 horsepower vessel to its fleet to meet high season needs. They are also increasing the capacity of the current 48 seat Bluewater Express V to carry up to 54 passengers, in addition to their existing two 30 seat vessels.

The new 65 seat vessel will be by far the largest and most powerful operating direct to the Gili islands from South Bali.

As further evolution of the highly popular service, in May 2014 Bluewater will start dropping passengers direct to Gili Air. “Until recently most of our passengers request Gili Trawangan and northwest Lombok”, explains Bpk Wayan Sudana, General Manager at Bluewater. “But Gili Air is increasing rapidly in popularity, and it is important we give passengers all options and assist in the development of Gili Air as a popular destination”.

Bluewater Express is the only operator to offer departures from both Serangan in South Bali and Padang Bai in the East.

Both the increase in capacity and the new destination will start operation in May this year.
